Registration is through the East Bay Regional Park District.
Registration information:

1. If there is no fee required, please contact Coyote Hills Regional Park (or Central Registration) to pre-register. There is a maximum number of participants for each class. Call the phone number indicated in the description.
2. If there is a fee, please register with EBRPD Central Registration, through on-line registration or by phone. To register on-line, access http://www.ebparks.org/webreg.To register by phone, call (510) 636-1684. Phone registration requires a credit card. Call between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Fridays. The Central Registration office is closed on weekends and holidays. The course code for fee programs is indicated in the description.

 

TULE BOAT CONSTRUCTION

Tule boats were used by California Natives to travel across inlets, deep marshes, lakes and bays. Learn how this boat was constructed from a common marsh plant. We'll build a two-person tule boat and launch it for a paddle around the lake.
NOTE: There is a limited number of participants for this program. Pre-register early.

OHLONE CULTURE

Travel into California's past to discover a heritage spanning 2.500 years and learn about Ohlone material culture. Their environment held resources for creating tools, acquiring food and constructing shelters.

SALT OF THE BAY

Join an easy two-mile hike to explore the salt ponds west of the hills. We'll view native and migratory wildlife, learn about some salty history and use salt for old-fashioned ice cream making and tasting!

CAMPFIRE BY THE BAY

Join us for a unique evening, marveling at the sunset and listening to a story about how the animals got fire. Then, we'll call back the sun by rubbing two sticks together to create fire and pop some delicious Ardenwood popcorn.

MARSH DETECTIVES

Join us for after-school fun and marsh exploration. Discover the wetland through crafts, hikes and activities.
